Abortionist Samuel Lett

In 2014, Fr. Terry Gensemer of CEC for Life uncovered an illegal abortion clinic in Selma, Alabama, and began efforts to stop the appalling operation.  Project weak Link dropped thousands of postcards in Selma, AL to expose Dr. Samuel Lett’s practice of butchering babies. The cards feature a photo of Dr. Lett next to one of his preborn victims: an aborted baby.

On December 31, 2015 Created Equal confirmed that Dr. Samuel Lett is no longer killing children in the city of Selma.

The Central Alabama Women’s Clinic, formerly used as Lett’s back-alley abortion clinic, is now operating as a weight-loss facility!

Pro-life leaders from CEC for Life, Created Equal, Operation Rescue, Life Legal Defense Foundation and the National Black Prolife Coalition have been building public awareness around this illegal clinic for nearly two years.

Mark Harrington from Created Equal said, “Abortionists and their enablers want to live unnoticed. Created Equal is ensuring that won’t happen… again and again and again. This time we sent an Alabama black market abortionist running!”

Rev. Terry Gensemer, Director of CEC For Life, comments, “We are thankful that Dr. Lett has ceased abortions in Selma, as we know that this same kind of under-the-radar, illegal activity led to the horrors we saw in Kermit Gosnell’s Philadelphia clinic.”

Gensemer also reports that, though Lett has ceased abortions, the coalition is still in communication with state officials regarding other ethical and legal violations that are disconcerting and require action.

“It took teamwork to drive abortions out of Selma,” adds Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue. “This was a fine example of what can be accomplished with the spirit of unity and cooperation. We will continue to work together and push for complete assurance from the state that illegal abortion is dealt with in Alabama.”
